A Whole New County Council Next Year
I just learned that Howard County Councilman David Rakes is resigning his seat due to health problems. That means there will be no incumbants running in the county-level elections next fall. Everyone else is either running for a different office or is being pushed out by term limits. It will be interesting to see how effective the new Council will be when they take their seats next year. It will also be interesting to see if the 3-2 Democrat edge will change.
